About

Parrish and Heimbecker, Winchester Grain Elevator, is centered between the 416, 417 and 401 corridors providing excellent transport routes to the Port of Montreal, Ottawa, Prescott Grain Terminal, Casco Cardinal and Greenfield Ethanol in Johnstown. They are located on the main CP Windsor – Quebec City rail line and are only 50 kms from two international bridges, enabling them to ship and receive in larger quantities. Winchester elevator also handles CERS shipped directly to Port of Prescott.

Winchester Grain Elevator is mainly associated with Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry counties, however, they are increasingly involved with farms from Renfrew County, Kingston area and close to the Quebec border. The main townships of Mountain, Winchester and North Stormont are excellent clay loam land capable of a 200 bu/acre corn crop and a 50 bu/acre soybean crop. The main crops grown in the region are Corn, Soybeans, Barley, Soymeal Feed Wheat and Canola Meal, and in addition, Winchester is still quite strong in the dairy industry.
