Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited provides 77,267 meals for Drive Away Hunger campaign

As part of the Drive Away Hunger campaign, Parrish & Heimbecker is providing an equivalent of 77,267 meals to food banks across Canada.

Drive Away Hunger is a cross-Canada effort to create partnerships between communities and donors to feed people in need. Founded by Farm Credit Canada (FCC), the industry-wide initiative has been collecting food and cash for nutritious meals for the past 19 years across Canada.

This year P&H collected non-perishable food items and monetary donations from staff, customers, and friends and family members. Each donation was matched, pound for dollar and dollar for dollar, and given to local food banks to help alleviate food insecurity for people in our communities.

P&H is pleased to be a part of this important campaign that brings nutritious food to those who need it, redirecting food surpluses that would otherwise go to waste.
